Girlhood United Scholarships 

1.) Girlhood United Book Scholarship ($250): 

This scholarship is open to any current (Highschool) female

student who will be attending an accredited two or four year university for

the 2026 - 2027 academic school year. Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and be in good community standing. 

Applications will open on March 01 and will close on May 15th at 11:59PM.Scholarship winner will be announced on July 10th, 2026.

2.) Empowerment Scholarship:
This scholarship is in collaboration with Journei2u Scholarship Fund Incorporated and is specifically for incoming or current freshman at Alabama State University. Please click the link below to apply!

Additional Scholarship Opportunities

3.) Mcdonald's Black and Positively Golden Scholarship- Sixty scholars will be selected to receive a need-based scholarship of up to $15,000 for the 2026-2027 academic year. Be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate freshman, sophomore, junior or senior attending an HBCU during the 2026-2027 academic year. Current cumulative grade point average of 2.7 or higher. Deadline to Apply: April 24, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EDT
4.) Black Girl Vitamins Launches $100,000 Scholarship- Deadline to Apply: April 30, 2026 Award Amount: up to $5,000 This scholarship was designed for women enrolled in accredited GRADUATE-LEVEL medical/ healthcare programs (nursing, pharmacy, medical school etc.); Minimum GPA 3.0); Submit a 300-word essay on aspirations. 
5.) Sigma Gamma Rho National Education Fund, Inc.- Deadline to Apply: May 22, 2026 Applicants for awards must be incoming freshmen, continuing and/or transfer students at an accredited 2-year or 4-year institution in the United States. They must be planning to enroll in undergraduate or graduate courses of study. The minimum cumulative G.P.A. for a scholarship award is 2.5. Recipients will be selected on the basis of financial need, academic and personal merit, as well as demonstrated involvement within their respective community. Awards range from $500-$2,000.
6.) Delta Sigma Theta (Delta Research & Educational Foundation) .- Deadline to Apply: March 31, 2026. DREF awards scholarships and internship opportunities to student applicants entering college or continuing their academic programs. Students must meet both academic and community service requirements. Learn about application guidelines and submission dates.
7.) The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Houston Metropolitan Chapter- Deadline to Apply: April 1, 2026.  This scholarship is designed to support and uplift young women as they prepare for their next academic journey. 💛 📌 Eligibility Criteria: - African American female - Resident of the Houston Metropolitan Area - GPA of 2.75 or higher - Graduating senior at a Houston-area high school 📅.
8.) Congressional Black Caucus Foundation- Deadline to Apply: March 13-27, 2026.  For more than three decades the CBCF in partnership with CBC Spouses has awarded scholarships to talented and deserving students. Each year, we award more than 300 scholarships to students that demonstrate leadership ability through exemplary community service and academic talent. Our scholarship programs support current or upcoming college students across a variety of disciplines.

9.) Gamma Sigma GSCEF (Charitable and Educational Foundation) $500- $5,000 - Deadline to Apply: April 30, 2026.   The Gamma Sigma Charitable and Educational Foundation (GSCEF), in partnership with the Gamma Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and Gamma Sigma Philos, proudly awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors in Houston, Texas and
surrounding areas. Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must be a graduating high school senior, plan to attend an accredited college or university and submit a complete application by Thursday, April 30, 2026.
10.) The Coca-Cola Foundation (HACU Scholarship Program)- $5,000 - Deadline to Apply: May 15, 2026.   HACU is partnering with The Coca-Cola Foundation to offer 17 scholarships for eligible college students. Students can apply for one of the 17 ($5,000) First Generation Scholarships to be awarded.
