Girlhood United exists to empower, uplift, and unite young women ages 16–28 by fostering a transformative community rooted in mentorship, collaboration, scholarship, and outreach. Our mission is to
create a safe and inspiring space where emerging women leaders can grow personally, professionally, and collectively. We believe that every young woman deserves access to guidance, resources, and
opportunities that help her realize her full potential.
Through intentional mentorship, we connect girls with experienced women who offer support, wisdom, and encouragement. Our collaborative programs promote leadership development, creative expression, and
civic engagement, while our scholarship initiatives help remove financial barriers to education and personal advancement. Community outreach is at the heart of our work, allowing members to give back, build
meaningful relationships, and create lasting change in the communities they serve.

Girlhood United Scholarship
This scholarship is open to any high school senior, enrolling into an accredited two or four year degree program. Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and be in good community standing. Click the link below to get started on your applications. Applications will open March 01 and will close on June 15th. Scholarship winner will be announced on August 10th, 2026
2. "Empowerment" Scholarship in collaboration
with Journei2u Scholarship Fund Inc.
This scholarship is specifically for incoming and current freshman, enrolling at Alabama State University for the Fall 2026 semester. Girlhood United is partnering with Journei2you Scholarship Fund, Incorporated to provide this opportunity to our illustrious Alma Mater.
